Registration begins at 7am, Hike begins at 10am. After you register at the fairgounds, you will be shuttled to the VFW. Please park at the fairgrounds. Hike begins at VFW and ends at the Fairgrounds. Event is free to the public. Donations are welcome. Join us after for... Live Entertainment, Food, Beer Tent, Bands,  Vendors, Activities, Branch Tug of War. BRING YOUR ID , Bring CASH (for the Beer Tent) No ATM on site,  Please NO GLASS on location!!!! If you want to attend the event but not hike, we recommend arriving around 11a/12p. You will still need a wristband to be on the grounds, this is for Insurance purposes. Beer Tent will be open from 12(noon)-10pm. Security will be posted at the beer tent and the beer tenders have the right to ask for ID at any point in time. DRINK RESPONSIBLY and Don't Drink And Drive!!!!!!! Beer is $3 for domestic and $5 for imports.

2016 Student Art Show sponsored by Carroll County Arts Center
We are asking the students to think about the A,B,C's of their work--- Art, Believe, Create--- and then produce a work of art that shows this reflection. Students will be judged and awarded ribbons at the discretion of the judges. This year students may choose to make their works available for sale, though this is not mandatory.  CCA will retain 10% of the purchase price. There is no entry fee. Artwork must be larger than 24"x 36" and may be on any type of surface using any type of medium. Each student may submit one original piece of artwork that was completed during the current school year. Copy work or trademark visuals such as "Disney" and other characters will not be accepted. Students are asked to mount matted work on cardboard or foam core with a secure wire attached for hanging. Stretched canvas must have wires attached for hanging. Three dimensional work will be accepted as well. Computer generated work or photography will not be accepted.
  All artwork needs to be submitted between April 25-28, 2016 with special hours from 3pm-6pm at the Carroll County Arts Center. Each student must complete a Student Registration Form and attach it to the backside of the artwork. Each student must have the approval of their parent or guardian with the signing of this registration form. Entries without this approval will not be accepted. Please do not put the student name on the front of the artwork.
  Artwork must remain for the duration of the show till May 20, and must be claimed during the week following the show, May-23-May 28th. Artwork unclaimed after 30 days will become the property of the CCA to donate or dispose of at their discretion. CCA reserves the right to photograph student artwork for the purpose of advertising or promotional needs. The artwork needs to comply with Carroll County Arts and school district guidelines for appropriateness in this show. Judging will be based on creativity, compsition, technique and originality.
  An awards reception will be May 1st from 2p-4p at the Carroll County Arts Center K-12 grade awards will be presented at 3pm. First place winners will have their pictures taken for the newspapers.

Minerva's Historic North Market Street
The Brick Street Art & Jazz  Festival will feature professional and student jazz bands, interactive art activities for all ages, professional and amateur art exhibits, food and more. Performing will be Deeny Ott, Henrique Alvim (Brazilian jazz), the Jen Maurer Duo (blues & jazz), the John Trapani Big Band (big band), and S'yVelt (jazz & funk), as well jazz bands from Minerva, Northwest, Beaver and McKinley high schools. There will be an exhibit of LEGO works of art in Komodo Dragon Martial Arts, as well as strolling magic by Tim Angeloni, juggling and balloon creations by Joe Delagrange, a knitting circle, a drum circle, kid's art area, demonstrating artists, a gathering of woodturners, food, crafters, and more!

Come out and join us for the 1st annual Run of the Mill 5K held at the Algonquin mill in the beautiful rolling hills of Carroll County. The race will begin and finish at the Algonquin Mill offering participants a scenic run. Plenty of parking and onsite restrooms will be available for participants and spectators. Proceeds from this years race will go to a local organization in Carroll County Caritas House is a safe house for adults and children victimized by emotional, physical, sexual, or verbal abuse. Caritas House offers a 24hr. hotline and a domestic violence shelter with a full support staff working around the clock.It is their goal to provide victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children with safe and secure temporary shelter in a comfortable atmosphere.

9am. Kids Summer Arts Camp at the Carroll County Arts Center
Traditional Arts Camp and the week of June 20-24 with a Sampler Arts Camp.
All camps are held at the scenic Bluebird Farm Park at 190 Alamo Rd SE, Carrollton, OH 44615.
Registration fee for each camp is still at $50 per child for any student entering 3rd through 7th grade.
Campers need to bring a sack lunch with a drink each day and a morning snack will be provided.
Transportation is the responsibility of the parent. Camps are limited to 30 campers for each camp-- first come, first served. Both camps begin at 9am and end at 2pm. Registration forms can be picked up at the Carroll County Arts Center or downloaded from our website   www.carrollcountyarts.org  . The registration form must also be accompanied by an emergency medical form. This will be available on the website as well. The traditional Arts Camp will focus on painting, drawing and sculpture using the talents of three of our local artists. The Sample Week will allow students a unique "hands on" experience with creative painting, jewelry arts, theatre and culinary arts with Chef Bob from JBChops. Both weeks will feature lunchtime activities directed by Cynthia Hervey utilizing scavenger hunts, games, nature walks and yoga.

Events will include Barback Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Calf Roping, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding and Team Roping.
There will be vendors for food and other products in the park starting at noon, and the Minerva Firemen's Association will sponsor a beer garden all day and a concert by country band 23 Southbound at 9pm. The beer garden will also be open Friday evening during the Minerva vs Carrollton Alumni Football Game.
