Commune with nature as you hike trails at Community Park on state Route 39 or Bluebird Farm Park off of Alamo Road. Both are located just outside of Carrollton.

There are also hiking trails around Atwood Lake with access at Atwood Lake Park.

There are also walking paths at Minerva’s Bicentennial Park and Malvern Village Park. Both are paved, with Malvern having exercise stations circling the path.

Atwood Lake Park Campground & Vacation Cabins

Atwood Lake Park is located just south of Canton. Boating, fishing, water skiing, hiking, biking and more are available in the park and lake area. Campgrounds have 575 class A with full hook-ups, and class A & B with electric. Two-bedroom cabins, for up to 6 people, are available with heat and air-conditioning for year-round comfort. The cabins feature all the amenities, except for linens. 

Bluebird Farm Park

Step back in time and enjoy the beauty of the 55-acre farm that includes walking trails, gardens, a century-old farmhouse and pre-Civil War barns tucked in the beautiful rolling hills of Carroll County. There is something for everyone at Bluebird Farm Park.

Conotton Creek Trail

Formerly a rail trail in Ohio, the Conotton Creek Trail runs from Bowerston to Jewett in northern Harrison County. The paved multi-use trail is suitable for biking, unicycling, roller-blading, wheel-chairing, jogging and walking. It features six bridges, two of which (Scio and Jewett) are covered.

Magnolia Flouring Mills

Magnolia Flouring Mill is the finest original mill preserved in Stark County and one of the best in ohio. The five-story wooden building was built in 1834 by one of the founders of Magnolia. The mill sits along the former Sandy & Beaver Canal. Group tours are welcome with advance registration. Open June, July and August.
