Algonquin Mill Festival
Hosted at the historical Algonquin Mill Complex located at 234 Autumn Rd. SW, Carrollton, OH 44615. This year will be their 56th year and will be open October 9-11, 9a-5p daily. Entry is $10 per vehicle.
Enjoy historic demos that include chair caning, wood carving, rug making, weaving, blacksmiths, working grist mill grinding corn and wheat, and steam engines making wooded shingles. Vendor craft area featuring local handmade goods, Paulette Fur Co., Autumn themed goods, natural fiber and yarn, and so much more. Food selection favorites include Sauerkraut & Pork dinners, Sauerkraut by the pint, apple butter, soup, BBQ chicken dinners, home made ice cream, maple syrup, ground cornmeal, buckwheat flour, pumpkin rolls, and more. Leesville Lake
Scenic 1,000 acre reservoir on 2,700 acres of land in Carroll County featuring 27 miles of shoreline. They are a quiet lake among wooded hills. They are a 10 horsepower maximum lake. Known for their premier muskie and bass fishing. They offer 2 marinas-South Fork Marina is located at 4131 Deer Rd. SW, Bowerston, OH 44695 & North Fork Marina is located at 2126 Azalea Rd. SW, Carrollton, OH 44615. North Fork offers seasonal boats, boat rental, fuel pier, camping amenities, and cabin rentals. For more information about the NF Marina, please call 330-627-4270. Great Trail Festival
Two weekends every year! Ohio's largest & finest French & Indian era festival. Featuring Live Music & Clog Dancing, Savory Foods, Show Fiddlers & Scottish Pipers, Scenic Grist Mill, Live Buffalo Herd, State of Ohio Tomahawk Throwing Championship, Daily Battle Reenactments, Storybook Craft Village, art, and more. The festival is held annually at the Great Trail Festival Grounds. This year's dates are August 29-30 & September 5-7, 2026.
McCook House Museum
Tour the 1830s home of Daniel McCook, now a Museum honoring the Ohio family remembered as the "Fighting McCooks" for the large number of members who served in the Union Army during the Civil War. The restored house has exhibits on the McCook family & the Civil War plus several period-decorated rooms. They are located at 15 S. Lisbon St. at the top of Public Square in Carrollton. They are open Memorial Day-the 2nd weekend of October, Friday-Saturday 10a-5p and open Thanksgiving weekend and the following weekend, Friday-Saturday 1-8p. Flowers at Grover Farms
Flowers at Grover Farms is located at 504 Steubenville Rd. SE., Carrollton, OH 44615. This local flower farm is women owned and operated. They opened in 2024 for online flower sales, pick-your-own garden, handmade bouquets for purchase in the farmstand, wedding & special event venue, workshops, & more. Atwood Lake
1,540 acre reservoir managed by MWCD located between Carroll & Tuscarawas Counties. Located at 9500 Lakeview Rd. Mineral City, OH 44656. Features: Boating, Sailing, & Kayaking, rentals available at Atwood Lake Boats. Camping options include modern campgrounds w/full hook-up, concrete pads, and scenic views. Fishing, hiking trails, playgrounds, swimming, beach concession stand, dog park, picnic spots, hunting, geocaching, free library, storybook trail, biking trails, golf cart rentals, laundromat, camp store, pickleball courts, disc golf, & updated restrooms. Carroll County Park District
They manage Bluebird Farm Park located at 190 Alamo Rd. SE, Carrollton, OH 44615 and Carroll Community Park located at 1061 Salineville Rd. NE, Carrollton, OH 44615. Bluebird Farm Park features walking trails through the woods and gardens over the covered and arched bridges. The amphitheater features the Summer Concert Series. Susie's Museum of Childhood features toys from the 1800s to Present. Joyce Hannon Hall & Suites. The former Hidden Trails Wine Cellar is currently being transformed into a craft cocktail and events venue, follow along their Facebook page for more updates. Carroll Community Parks features an event barn available for weddings, birthday parties, graduations, and more. Also features walking trails and a playground. Monroe Township Community Park
Located in Dellroy at 109 E. Main St., Dellroy, OH 44620. This park is a 6.3 acre green space that offers peaceful walking paths, shade trees, pavilion, playground area an relaxed setting near the edge of Atwood Lake.
Carrollton Farmers Market

Malvern Village Park
Located at W. Canal St., Malvern, OH 44644. This park features 4 pavilions that each have electricity and are available to rent for $55, including a refundable $100 deposit. A lit 1/3 mile walking track, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, badminton courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, nature trails, playground equipment, exercise stations, seven softball and baseball diamonds, frisbee golf course, bocce court, plenty of benches for sitting, Dairy Queen next door within walking distance (open seasonally). Owned and operated by Bob & Michelle Stevens, their mission is to bring joy, charm, & the character of their Llamas through to those who visit. Great Trail Golf Course
This 27-holle golf course is located at 10154 Great Trail Dr., Minerva, OH 44657. Dine in at Tee House Social and enjoy the modern dining & social hub of the course.
