The park hosts signature events such as the Alive Christian Music Festival in July every year, and the Atwood Fall Festival every year in early October. Throughout the summer, they host events for the weekends of Memorial Day, Fourth of July (Fireworks) and Labor Day. Atwood Lake Park & MWCD also host a big outdoor Country Music concert typically held in August in years past. Next year for 2027 , they have announced they will do a bigger event, although they have not named the entertainment act, as of yet. These events bring energy & excitement to the lake area while maintaining the Park's relaxed and family-oriented charm.
